To meet the needs of our clients, Tax Doctor, Inc. was established as a IA Accounting firm to provide accounting, tax, and business advisor services to corporations, small businesses and individuals throughout the Des Moines area. Recognizing that each client has unique goals, we tailor our services to meet your specific needs. To better meet the needs of our clients, we have individualized services for clients in industries like Construction Accounting, Medical/Dental Accounting, professional services and various consumer services. These individualized services have enabled us to address their industry specific challenges, compliance needs and standard tax practices.

Tony Mauro, EA, CSA

Tony established the Tax Doctor 10 years ago after working in accounting since his college days. It started as a small one person tax practice and has grown rapidly over the years by serving the individual and small clients by providing outrageous service and helping them not only with their taxes and business books, but teaching people to become more successful in their life sooner without driving themselves crazy with stress.

Tony obtained his BS in Accounting from Upper Iowa University and is an Enrolled Agent and Certified Senior Advisor. He currently holds the following investment licenses: Series 7, 63, 65 and is also insurance licensed in the state of Iowa. He is also currently working on his CFP certification through the American College.

He also helps small business owners not only with their tax and books, but works with them through mastermind groups to teach them to get more out of their business. He works with them to build the business they want without stress and teaches them to work "on" their business, not "in" it, as most entrepreneurs do. He meets once a month with a small group of clients to share mastermind ideas and provide them with assistance in growing their business.
